Bardi Symphony Orchestra see the light with SES Technical

RATstands Star Lights to be used in exciting new programme

SES Technical has provided sixty RATstands music stand lights for the Bardi Symphony Orchestra, which will make their debut in two prestigious – and radically different – concerts in the near future.

The RATstands Star Lights connect to any music stands with a spring clips that also houses the batteries. Effective and focussed illumination is provided by ten low voltage LEDs: the user can select from two output levels. The Star Lights can be recharged while in use.

Forthcoming performances

The new lights will make their public debut at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester on the 5th February, when the Orchestra will be playing the original soundtrack live in accompaniment to the Charlie Chaplin film “City Lights”. This is believed to be the only showing of the film with live music in the UK in 2017.

Another notable concert by the Bardi Symphony Orchestra will be taking place in May with “Firebird! – a Russian Spectacular”  a stunning concert of Russian classics including the ever-popular 2nd Piano Concerto by Rachmaninov played by Katya Apekisheva and a complete performance of The Firebird ballet by Stravinsky with dancers from Dance Activate and choregraphy by Graham Fletcher.
