The highlight of the recent Derby Festé was undoubtedly a performance called MÚ by Transe Express – and SES Technical tasked with providing the event lighting and crew to support the performance.
The stage one lighting presented a number of challenges associated with such a fast moving and unusual performance. The specification, setup and light show itself were all undertaken by Leicester based SES Technical.
According to their website “Transe Express performs in open spaces to provoke an encounter with the audience. Without limitations, several artistic mediums and modes of expression are the ingredients for our creators.”
Now in it’s tenth year, the event transformed the city centre into a world – class festival site. The Derby Festé website anticipated the special contribution that the MÚ would make to the event.
“The atmospheric show will transport the crowds to a magic oceanic world. Colourful neon sea creatures elevated on a huge telescopic crane will cavort on the lit surface of the sea with the fish and other ocean dwellers weaving their way through the audience on the sea bed.”
